Comber Rec v Chimney Corner

Comber kicked off the game and were finding the weather conditions difficult as the extreme cold breeze was catching every ones breath. It took a moment of inspiration from Timmy Browne to lift every ones spirits, Tim played a great ball through the heart of the Chimney Corner defence which young Aaron Hawthorne controlled and passed to James Hogg and James shot to the goalkeepers right to open the scoring. 1-0 Comber.
Comber had now settled down and were passing the ball well and it was a result of this that created the second goal, Calum McCloskey beat his marker and hit a great shot which the goalkeeper could only push out to Aaron Hawthorn and he made sure he hammered home his first goal of the season. 2-0 Comber.
Chimney Corner now looked very shaken and Timmy Browne was determined to increase Combers lead, He picked up the ball on the half way line and ran at the opposition and his shot was again beaten out to the awaiting Comber players were Billy Davidson hit a great first time shot for his debut goal. 3-0 Comber.
Again Comber streamed forward and Oliver Wilson was putting in some great balls to the box and it was his pass to Timmy which set up the next goal, Timmy turned and shot and yet again his shot was saved only for Aaron Hawthorne to pounce for his second goal of the day. 4-0 Comber.
Comber were rampant now and after a great solo run and cross from Robbie Johnston, Calum McCloskey curled his shot into the top corner giving the Chimney Corner keeper no chance. 5-0 Comber.
To the credit of Chimney Corner they kept pushing forward and it took a great save from Matty Davidson to prevent them from scoring, The resulting save however was then played to Cameron Foster and his long drive up the pitch was collected by Timmy who crossed in for James Hogg to rifle home his second goal and Combers 6th. 6-0 Comber
Comber then got a corner and it was quick thinking by Calum to take a short corner to Timmy which led to number 7 his cross into the box was met by the ever present Billy Davidson and he poked in his second of the day for 7-0 Comber.
Comber continued to press on and just before the break it was an interception by Jack Savage in defence who skilfully slipped the ball Aaron Milligan who lobbed the Chimney Corner back line for Timmy to fire home his first goal of the day 8-0 Comber.

Half Time

Chimney Corner kicked off and it was there kick forward which gave Harry Walker an early touch. Harry controlled the ball and made sure that his clearance was going well into the oppositions half, a poor pass from the Chimney Corner midfielder fell to Adam Manley who looked up and laid the ball to Timmy Browne and Tim hammered home his second goal of the day. 9-0 Comber.
Almost straight from the kick off Adam Manley chased down the ball and again unselfishly passed to Oliver Wilson and Oliver fired home to make it 10-0. 10-0 Comber.
Combers next goal was a piece of individual brilliance and one his father would have been proud of, Calum McCloskey beat two defenders before calmly curling his shot into the top corner of the net from 20 yards, A great goal to watch. 11-0 Comber.
Adam Manleys fine work up front was then rewarded with his first goal of the season when again another great ball into the box from Calum was fired home by Adam who met the cross with a fine right foot drive. 12-0 Comber.
Comber were not going to let up and it was another long individual run from Timmy which made it 13, Calum passed to Tim who ran from inside his own half to beat the keeper with an unstoppable low drive for his hat trick. 13-0 Comber.
Chimney Corner were down but to the boys credit continued to try and play football, Comber were however to strong in every department and this was proven again as Billy Davidson collected the ball from Dean Chadwick in defence and Billy thumped the ball up field, this was a straight race for the ball which was won by Timmy, and he calmly rounded the keeper to knock in his fourth of the day. 14-0 Comber.
The game was almost over as Comber won a corner, Calum McCloskey yet again dropped a perfect corner into the box and Aaron Milligan fired home from the edge of the box to score his first of the day. 15-0 Comber.
