Comber continued their winning streak with a hard fought game away at a very wet Cloyne. Leeper and Rodney were both given a place in the starting line up and it wasn't long before Comber took the lead. With some speedy wing play Wilson, raced into the box past the defender and crossed right on to the foot of Clifford who scored with ease. The home team had their chances too especially down the left side but Comber was able to cope fairly comfortably.

Comber gave away a couple of free kicks due to pushing  in the back from throw ins. On another day the opposition could have easily equalised. Then Comber were awarded a free kick in a dangerours position just in front of goal. Josh Dunlop made it 2-0 with a shot well placed just under the crossbar. Soon it was 3-0, when the impressive Coulter hit a great shot high into the net from outside the box. To be honest the scoreline flattered Comber. Rosbotham then made a fine save just before halftime.

Changes were made at the break, when Clarke and Carson were brought on. Newtownabbey pulled a goal back early in the half, and Comber started to look jittery! Wilson had a great chance to score after a strong run, but failed to get his shot away in time. Walker and Coulter were both booked after late tackles. Then the Newtownabbey striker ran round the oncoming Rosbotham to make it 3-2. The 3 goal lead was slipping bigtime!! Comber saw out the rest of the game for a deserved victory in the end.
