Comber started this game upbeat after a good run of results in October. However early on it was clear that Comber were going to have to be at their best throughout the team to contain the opposition. Comber had chance after chance at the beginning to take the lead. First Dunlop hit in a great corner which Coulter just headed wide. Then Dunlop himself had  a good chance to score, but waited too long then hit a weak shot. Clifford then had an opportunity but was judged to be offside.  The Comber defence held firm until about 25 mins, when Willowbank scored their first goal. The Willowbank no6 was causing mayhem with his quick feet and surging runs into the Comber box. Shortly before halftime Wilowbank scored again when a half hit effort wrong footed the unlucky Rosbotham and the ball trickled over the line.

Kalkerts and Rodney came on at halftime and were both lively in their efforts to win the ball in midfield. The opposition were proving too strong and skilful and soon made it 3 - 0. Rowan then needed to be substituted soon after, after the Willowbank forward made a very late challenge. He was lucky to get away with a yellow card from the leniant referee. The Comber defence needed to be reshuffled and the boys did their best to keep the score respectable. Rosbotham made an excellent stop from a well hit freekick but the Willowbank striker was first to react to make it four. The Comber keeper then made a series of great saves from the pacy opposition, but a further 3 goals were leaked late on in the game to further rub salt in the wounds. Subs Martin and McVicker deserve praise for their efforts when they came on.

Willowbank definately derserved their victory but the scoreline didn't reflect the overall game. Who knows what might have happened if Comber could have converted a couple of their early chances.

Both Comber full backs were excellent in their effort as was Coulter in midfield, however Rosbotham deserved the MOM this week. It has to be mentioned that he and a couple of other boys are playing a year young against stronger and older opposition every week.
