Even with Ross Hagan not available, Keith Dougherty injured, Craig McCracken suffering a tight hamstring and Peter Kelly and Adam Welsh under the weather Saturday's result against Kilmore Rec was a big disappointment.

We contrived to present Kilmore with three opportunities in the second half which they gratefully accepted. I should qualify that by adding that their first goal was an absolute peach. It was what we did before the wonder strike that was the problem. The second goal five minutes later was the result of an aberration that occurred for no logical reason and will probably never happen again! Although we did get back into the game thanks to Kevin Monson another error allowed Kilmore to open the gap to two and effectively ended the game.

There is a phrase that is often used at this time of the season "A meaningless end of season fixture" - I can assure you that this is not part of my vocabulary, neither is it in my philosophy. With five games left I can assure you that we will be treating each one with the utmost respect with the maximum points our ultimate aim.

Keep coming to the ground and keep the faith.
