In a highly entertaining game Comber's youthful team ran out as 4-3 winners. A goal down after a few minutes the Rec looked in trouble, however, they regrouped and started to play some neat football which eventually led to a deserved equaliser ; Adam Whitehead rising high in a crowded box to head home. Continuing to press Comber got caught on the break, a long ball broke kindly to an Agape forward who made no mistake to fire home past Gowdy. Agape went a further goal ahead soon after to put Comber in some trouble. Good play down the right side would eventually see the determined Adam Beattie flick the ball past the Agape keeper to put the Rec back into the game. As the first half drew to an end the impressive Magowan would find time in the box to place his shot beyond the advancing keeper and into the net .

The second half produced some good competitive football with chances at both ends. The breakthrough eventually came, the hardworking Reid securing the first win of the season for the Third's. Put through one-on-one Brent kept his cool to round the keeper and slot home the winner.
