Comber picked up another valuable three points with a hard-fought victory over Lisburn, producing an impressive attacking display, particularly in the opening half.


The Rec took the lead when Hutton continued his excellent run of form, finishing well to put Comber in front. Comber remained on the front foot and created a number of good opportunities, with both Donaldson and Hutton striking the crossbar as Comber threatened to extend their advantage before the break.


Their pressure was rewarded early in the second half when Walker rose superbly at the back post to power a header home, giving the Rec a deserved 2–0 lead.


Lisburn responded and pulled a goal back inside the final 15 minutes, setting up a tense finish. However, Comber defended strongly in the closing stages and showed plenty of determination to see the game out.


A solid all-round performance and another important three points for the Rec.
