Comber made a bright start to the game and quickly took control, racing into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Calderwood and Wilson.

East responded well, however, and battled their way back into the contest, scoring twice to bring the sides level and set up a tense finish.

With the game looking destined to end all square, Comber kept pushing for a winner and their persistence paid off late on when Hutton found the net to restore the lead.

That late strike proved decisive, sealing a hard-fought 3–2 victory and all three points for Comber.
