Comber had to settle for a share of the points after an entertaining 2–2 draw with Abbey Villa.

The Rec found themselves behind after 16 minutes, but responded well and worked their way back into the game. Their persistence was rewarded just before half-time when Chris Murray found the net in the 43rd minute to send the sides in level at the break.

Comber carried that momentum into the second half and took the lead when Murray was brought down inside the penalty area. He stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and made no mistake, calmly converting to complete his brace and put the Rec 2–1 in front.

The home side looked on course to take all three points, but with just five minutes remaining Villa found an equaliser to make it 2–2.

Comber pushed for a late winner, but there was to be no further scoring and the points were shared at the final whistle.
